Review: Supernatural Season 8, Episode 14: Trial and Error

I have to be honest, I didn’t really like this episode. I found it kind of boring. We’ve seen a lot of episodes with people who have made ten year deals with demons, and, honestly, I don’t think I needed to see another one. So, to me, that whole aspect of the episode was kind of a throw-away plot. I just wasn’t that interested in it.

I am, however, very interested to learn that we now have a plan to close the Gates of Hell. I’m a little skeptical that the Winchesters are going to make that happen (mostly because we have like seven seasons left, and I can’t imagine that there will be no demons in any of them).

I have to say that I am worried about Kevin. He doesn’t seem to be taking care of himself, and that concerns me. Hopefully he’ll be back to a normal life at some point; I really hope he doesn’t get permanently sucked into the Supernatural world.

I’m also really enjoying the fact that Sam and Dean seem to have settled into the Men of Letters’ secret bunker. Dean having his own bedroom is just so ADORABLE. I almost can’t stand how cute it is. I really hope that nothing happens to their cute little bunker; where else would they cook hamburgers?

Okay, I cannot tell a lie, I was not the biggest fan of this episode. Like, don't get me wrong, it's still Peaky Blinders , so it's automatically better than like 90% of shows out there, but this was not its best moment. In my opinion, anyway. First of all, I am supremely annoyed by the time jump. Like, I don't mind when shows do time jumps when nothing much happens, but it seemed like a LOT happened here. First of all, Freddie died offscreen?????????? I cannot express to you how much I am NOT okay with that. Peaky Blinders: Season 1 Episode 1 Review

So, I have to admit that people have been telling me to watch Peaky Blinders for years, but, somehow, I never got around to it, which is strange because, on the surface,  Peaky Blinders  is everything I like in television. It's a period drama, set in England, with a dark, brooding, leading man; I should love it, right? Well, I'm not sure why I resisted watching it for so long because this show is FAN-TASTIC. I mean, I've only seen the first episode at this point, but I can already tell that it is really and truly wonderful. First of all, where has Cillian Murphy been all my life? How is he like the best actor ever, and I've never heard of him? Maybe he's big in the UK and not so much in the US? Or maybe I've been living under a rock? I don't know. Review: The Last Kingdom Season 4 Episode 9

Edward really is an idiot isn't he? Seriously! I'm amazed he's managed to survive as king as long as he has. He has no sense; and he certainly doesn't have fashion sense either. Charging the walls of Winchester like an angry toddler was the absolute height of foolishness. I continue to be disappointed by him in this season. How did Alfred's son get to be so stupid?  On the other hand, almost everyone else is impressing me.  My girl Eadith was AMAZING in this episode. Have I mentioned before how much I like her? The way she killed that Dane and freed Uhtred and the guys was so incredibly brave. I could never have done that;  come to think of it, I don't think I would even have thought of that. I'm not good with ideas under pressure. Eadith did let herself down a little bit because she revealed who she was, but that was a difficult moment for her, so I'll forgive it.
