Man, was that ever DRAMATIC! Maybe this is going too far, but I think this was my favorite episode of season four so far. It gave me anxiety and it made me angry, but I feel like the plot is really moving along now, and all of those things are good when it comes to television, right? First of all, I have to give some props to my girl Stiorra (I believe that means Star, by the way. It's a great name), she's kicking butts and taking names and doing it all with a fabulous hair style. It's too bad that the laws and norms of the time wouldn't allow Uhtred to make Stiorra his heir because she's super smart and clever, and I bet she would be a great leader. So, basically, a chip off the old block, right? Out of all Uhtred's children, I think she's the most like him. Well, this episode was FASCINATING. I’m not sure why, but it really drew me in for some reason. I was genuinely super interested in the Amazon society, and I wanted to learn more about it. Maybe I need to watch the Wonder Woman movie or something. In case you need a recap, Sam and Dean arrive in Seattle to investigate a series of extremely weird, ritualistic murders. They discover that the killings are being committed by the Amazons, a tribe of warrior women who have super strength. It turns out that the Amazons can only reproduce if the child (which grows up super quickly) kills her father. Unfortunately, Sam and Dean only learn this after Dean mates with an Amazon. (Oops!) Dean’s daughter shows up to kill him, and, naturally, things get messy. I did think that it was really tragic that Sam needed to kill Dean’s daughter. Part of me really wanted to believe that she did want to get away from the Amazons. I was half hoping that she could start a new life, but I guess the lesson is: onc...

Man, Dean looked good in that suit, didn’t he?  I hope the network used the promo shots from that episode to promote the show; I would totally buy a poster with Dean dressed up in his 1940s clothes. Anyway, now that we’ve gotten the fashion portion of this commentary out of the way, I should tell you that I had never heard of Eliot Ness or the Untouchables before, so a lot of stuff in this episode went right over my head. However, I found this episode to be pretty charming regardless. I always love the time travel plots. They’re endlessly entertaining. In case you need a recap, in this episode Sam and Dean find themselves hunting the god Chronos. All is going well until Dean gets pulled back into the past with Chronos. Sam and Dean spend the episode hunting the god from different centuries until Sam manages to bring Dean back to the present, killing Chronos in the process. So, Bobby really is dead, huh? I’m not going to lie, I find that to be really depressing. Lately, Sam and Dean are losing literally everybody. At this rate, we’re not going to have any supporting characters left, and losing a father figure is doubly depressing. Although, I do think this episode was kind of an homage to Bobby, as the entire thing revolves around Sam and Dean saving a father so that he can be with his daughter. In case you need a recap, in this episode a hunter named Lee Chambers is hunting a pair of Vetalas when they capture him. The hunter’s daughter calls Bobby for help, and Sam responds. However, when Sam goes missing too, Dean is forced to go after him, and Dean and the daughter eventually save the day. In the meantime, Dean and Frank travel to Wisconsin to spy on the Leviathans in hopes of getting revenge for Bobby’s death. I’m quite interested to see how THAT turns out. All and all, I did like this episode, but it didn’t stand out to me as one of my favorites. The...

SAD. That’s the only thing I have to say about this episode. SAD. First of all, I NEED to know if Bobby is dead or not. That last scene was very ambiguous; Bobby could have pulled through, but then again he might have decided to go with the reaper. On the other hand, it seemed clear that the lights were going out on Bobby, and I refuse to believe that he would allow himself to become a ghost, so the most likely outcome is that Bobby is dead. DEAD. Guys, I cannot express how much that breaks my heart, especially after everything we saw in this episode. Like, I don’t know how Supernatural can go forward as a show without Bobby. It is UNTHINKABLE. By the way, I think I’ve already spoiled everything, but—in case you need a recap—this episode takes place inside Bobby’s brain as he fights to stay alive. Bobby travels through his own memories, trying to escape from the reaper and get back to the boys. Meanwhile, the Winchesters are in the hospital, waiting to see if Bobby survives. Dean does ...

Well, this episode was GROSS. I feel like I say that a lot, but, seriously, ICK. Someone needs to give me a trigger warning the next time Supernatural is going to introduce a cannibal zombie with a cat’s HEAD in his stomach. That stuff is going to haunt my nightmares for weeks! Speaking of which, in case you need a recap, this episode follows Sam, Dean, and Bobby as they travel to New Jersey to investigate a series of horrifically gross murders. They discover that the killing spree was caused by the turducken (turkey, duck, and chicken) sandwiches being served at a local restaurant. Usually, the sandwiches just cause the citizens to become complacent and uninterested in what’s going on around them; however, sometimes they have the side effect of creating cannibal zombie monsters. Oh my goodness, THIS EPISODE! I think I said that episode six was my favorite episode of this season; well, I’m renouncing that today. THIS was my favorite episode of the season. In fact, it might be one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. It was just so FUNNY. In case you need a recap, in this episode Becky (of the Supernatural fan community) makes a deal with a demon to get a potion that will make Sam fall deeply in love with her. Sam and Becky end up getting married and hilarity (and waffle irons) ensues. I should be angry with Becky for drugging and kidnapping Sam, but I just can’t find it in my heart to be mad at her, probably because she’s just too funny and wildly insane for words. I mean, drawing a devil’s trap with blueberry vodka? Come on, that’s adorable. Also, I have to admit that I wanted Becky to get the chance to show off Sam at her high school reunion. Call it a craving for justice or whatever, but I’m always in favor of watching smug people get their comeuppa...
